The Solar Industry Association of Zambia in partnership with GIZ THRIVE and Skills Advisory Group Water and Sanitation (SAG-WSS) Secretariat under the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) held the Solar Skills Challenge at the 12th Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition (ZAWAFE) at Mulungushi International Conference Centre on 12th June 2024.
The Solar Skills Challenge focused on raising awareness on the importance of solar energy skills in the sector. This session was led by the SIAZ that included a solar skills challenge and solar products displays from WidEnergy Africa, Sunny Money Zambia and RDG Collective aimed at raising awareness and exhibiting the skills in the solar energy sector. During this session, industry players and Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs) competed to encourage innovation and promote solar skills.
